Nick comes to New York to temporarily live with a jazz musician friend of his late father's named Cal while his mom is in rehab. During his time in the city, he befriends a group of kids who show him what New York has to offer.

Greg's life is turned upside down when his old friend Peter from high school is murdered. Coping with graduating college with no direction, having his disgruntled father breathe down his neck, and an unplanned reunion with his jilted ex-girlfriend Lisa, Greg's life can not get any worse.
